June 5, 2025 – Welding Technology at DCCC (a four-semester program for credits)

Welding Technology, Certificate of Competency is a four-semester program. This program begins on 8/25/25. The schedule varies depending on the class.  Pat Dougherty, Welding Program Administrator, pdougherty@dccc.edu or 610-359-5114 is more than happy to provide additional information about the program.

The scholarship is funded through the generosity of the Kelleher family.  The information for the Kelleher Connect Career Opportunity Fund is below.

The Kelleher Connect Career Opportunity Fund offers financial assistance of up to $5,000 per semester to qualified individuals.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be enrolled continuously in at least two academic courses in an eligible certificate program
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 on every course throughout your time enrolled in the program
  • Complete a FAFSA for each academic year you are enrolled in the program
  • Be a Delaware County or Chester County resident

WELDING TECHNOLGY, CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY

The College will award a certificate of competency to students who complete an approved credit-bearing career program that requires less than 30 credits. General education courses may not be required for programs that have less than 30 credits. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. At least six credit hours must be in courses that are awarded grade points.  TOTAL CREDITS: 29
