Electro-Mechanical Technician Jobs Are in Demand

Not only are these jobs open and in high demand, they’re also high-paying. At Delaware County Community College, we’re prepared to train you for a career as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, so you can help meet industry demands right in your backyard.
Our Electro-Mechanical Technologies Certificate Program can be completed in less than a year and will help you transition seamlessly into a career in advanced manufacturing technology. Classes are available in Delaware County at the Marple Campus and in Chester County at the Exton Center.
Responsibilities
• Align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates and microscopes
• Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation
• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
• Repair, rework and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances

Training Grants Available
Through the generosity of JP Morgan Chase, the Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation is pleased to offer training grants support to selected students choosing to pursue a program of study in Electro-Mechanical Technologies. The grant will complement any financial aid for which a student might be eligible, or meet expenses for students not eligible for financial aid. Regardless, the intent is to ensure students can complete the Electro Mechanical Technologies program for free. Certificate of Competency
The Electro-Mechanical Technologies program is designed to prepare students for employment as Electro-Mechanical Technicians who assemble, install, troubleshoot and/or repair mechanical, electrical and fluid power systems. The program includes instruction in electrical controls and programmable controllers, manufacturing and operational testing, as well as system analysis and maintenance procedures.
