Are you seeking employees who enjoy welding or do you want to train future welders for free? \nJoin MACC/DC at a meet and greet opportunity at Delaware County Community College’s Advanced Technology Center. Meet soon-to-be graduates of a 225-hour hands-on Welding Certificate Program that prepares students for entry-level welding positions. \nStudents are expected to earn their certificates in August. Join us to learn about the program\, the students\, and educators. Perhaps you’ll meet a future employee! \nAGENDA \n11:30 a.m.–12 p.m. Brief tour and overview presentation. \n12–2:45 p.m. Lunch & meet-and-greet with current and past welding certificate students. Manufacturers will present their businesses and job openings\, and students will deliver their “elevator pitch”. \n12:45-1:15 p.m. Tables will be set up in the atrium area for employers and students to continue the conversation and exchange information. \nDCCC’s Welding Certificate Program delivers an introduction to welding and training in oxyfuel cutting\, shielded metal arc welding\, gas metal arc welding\, blueprint reading and basic fabrication. These skills are in high demand and will prepare students for entry-level welding positions.
